more archived news 04/03/02: Well it's Wednesday and I promised some brand new screens but unfortunately the newest release will not be done until Friday. Don't worry though, it's worth the wait. -Greg Brady 04/01/02: *Cleans up all of the winter residue and stores it in the archives* We've decided to change the game so it takes place in a post nuclear world. Sort of cyber punk style. Should be pretty cool. We'll be placing ads in the game too! HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY! Seriously, the newest screenshots are really great. These screens are what the finished game will look like. I will be replacing all the older screens as soon as the latest game is ready. Should be by Wenesday. -Sigmund Seamonster 03/15/02: Welcome to devilwhiskey.com! I've done some changes to our useless splash page and the website graphics and page titles due to the fact that the game is officially being called Devil Whiskey. It makes more sense for the name change because the story revolves around this mysterious liquid. Expect some brand spankin' new screenshots soon. I'll be replacing the rather dated screens on the right with screens from the latest release. Added to the newest release is the Dwarven Caves levels and the Crystal levels. -Owenwedont Havacuzinpatty 03/13/02: If you use Linux, Windows, PC or Mac then you can play Devil Whiskey. Our programming team is ensuring cross platform/system compatibility. Game movement has improved for the better. Travelling is now smooth walking or running movement. A slight bounce in the walk gives the impression of walking over a grassy earthen terrain. Expect some changes to the site soon as the title of the game is being changed. We will be dropping the "Bard's Legacy- Devil Whiskey" title in favor of "Devil Whiskey" You can now access the site via www.bardslegacy.com www.devilwhiskey.com www.devilwhisky.com -Phineas Orville Schnipplefloogle III 02/27/2002: We are so close we can almost smell the... the... coffee brewing in overdrive so we can stay up all night every night working to complete our quest!
Reymundo who is responsible for the location and interior graphics, has spruced up some of our trees and other game textures. Sedone is hard at work on the race portraits and we have a sample pic of his female Half-Elf below. Screenshots will be updated again soon and if you don't already know, our newsletter and fan group is here:

02/18/2002: We have another new artist onboard! Now let me introduce to you, the one and only Billy Shears... er Sedone Thongvilay. Sedone will be helping with game monsters and character portraits. Here is a completed piece by Sedone. -Jon 02/09/2002: We're sad to see Rob go, but he has done wonders for us and has surely inspired more than a few other new artists. We are getting so close now that we can taste the fresh shrink wrap of the CDs, which brings me to another issue: fan involvement. We are debating a few issues about the release of the game and we could use your input. Would you like the option of a web download as well as having the option to but a CD? Would you like to be part of an exclusive insiders fan base that get's involved with development ideas for future games? Please join our BLTalk-fan forum and enlighten us with your wisdom. Until later mi amigos - Jon 02/06/2002: Well looks like the latest release has been completed and the team is getting closer to releasing a demo. Thanks for the waiting and the patience! It will be worth it I'm sure. As some of you may know, this will be my last update as I am leaving the team but we have recruited a couple of really good artists to take my place. Trust me, they do amazing work! Being a founding member, webmaster, graphic designer, lead artist and visuals director to the team has brought me great joy over the last couple of years. I'm very proud that I've helped to create and bring the Bard's Legacy to life! Thanks for the all the feedback and comments over the last couple of years, it's been great. You can still continue to visit me at www.mindsiphon.com Rob 01/12/2002: The Devil Whiskey game has about 100+ hours of game play and 24 levels set for the game. There are 5 more levels to put in, but that is not going to be time intensive. The new levels will add to the game play time and give you a few more treats. We have had some time away from the holidays and a bunch business and HR concerns to work out. Now that it seems to be clearing, the game goes on. Jon 12/12/2001: Check out the interview with us at GameSpy Daily Oh and the music section was just discovered to be down. The links are now fixed. Check out the newest renditions of the music. Rob 12/08/2001: We have an almost complete demo and the full game is in Beta but I'm still in alpha. I'd like to welcome Reymundo E Sierra to the team. He's the 3D guy and he's nearly done with all the building interiors. Rob 11/26/2001: Tune in tomorrow folks! Our last alpha will be ready tomorrow and I'll be posting all new screenshots of the game in it's completed look. The code is very close to being complete and the all the environmental effects and audio are now complete. After tomorrows release Our next release will be BETA! Rob 11/12/2001: Here's a quick image of how the game is looking. This is a full screen shot of the town of Rennibister on a misty day. Rob more archived news |
